NEW YORK – The Hon. J. Machelle Sweeting, newly appointed Judge of the Civil Court of the City of New York 10th District, was honoured with the presentation of a plaque at the annual “Christmas Splash” of the Bahamian American Association, Inc. (BAAI) at the BAAI Bahama House building, 211 West 137th Street, on Saturday, December 6. Judge Sweeting, the first Bahamian-American female to be appointed as a Judge of the Civil Court of the City of New York, was inducted on Thursday, December 4.
