Staniel Cay, BAHAMAS - The wild pigs in Big Major are getting more attention! According to the Staniel Cay Yacht Club's Facebook page, "NBC's 'The Today Show' arrived today to film advance shots for the show to be aired on Febuary 9th and 10th from The Bahamas. Sara Haines and the Today Show crew visited Staniel Cay and got some great shots of the pigs on Big Major (a brand new litter!) and Thunderball Grotto.

The weather could not have been better for this ... 80s and sunny!

Bahamian engineer, Aisha Bowe wins 21st Century Trailblazers in Aerospace Award

CALIFORNIA - Aisha Bowe, a Bahamian-American was recognized in two categories at the recently concluded National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Aerospace Conference in Los Angeles. She was awarded a 21st Century Trailblazers Award in the category of Aerodynamics and Aviation and Outstanding Technical Contribution for her technical paper entitled “ Evaluation of a Fuel Efficient Maneuver for Conflict Resolution”.

The 21st Century Trailblazers in Aerospace award is particularly notable as it recognizes "entry and mid-career engineers who demonstrate potential as rising stars in the aerospace industry..."

It is estimated that 100 to 140 million women around the world have undergone this brutal procedure and three million girls are at risk every year. We must continue to act to end this affront to women’s equality and the rights and dignity of women and girls.
