Thakoon brings us vivid landscapes of fuchsia, cobalt and orange mixed for fall 2014 – thakoon.com.

Each fall we normally take a turn towards darker colors such as browns, khaki and burgundy, but that’s all changing as fashion designers have now brought us a bolder color palette for fall 2014.

As with neon introduced last fall, this commanding trend is continuing with bright colors from designers such as Dior, Balenciaga, Thakoon and Emanuel Ungaro.

Fall looks resemble pieces of art

What we are experiencing is a color revolution where designers are wanting their fashions to be perceived more as pieces of art, rather than garments.

It’s all about creativity in one’s look, not a serious as with past autumn seasons, a chance for women to really stand out during our grey overcast days.

Watch for high voltage colors

Consider Dior’s fall 2014 collection which was full of high voltage pinks, aqua blues and reds. Senior designer Raf Simons made it look classic with bright color block pieces, notice that his look is anchored with one traditional fall tone.

While Balenciaga gave us bold yellow coats, red strip knit dresses mixed with cobalt blue gloves. Playful to say the least.

Vivid landscapes of fuchsia, cobalt and orange mixed with camel, navy or black. A very dramatic style from Thakoon.

Watch for contrasting of neon colors, such as yellow on black from Emanuel Ungaro’s collection. A young and powerful image which I bet we will see on our streets soon.

So bring on old man winter, for the ladies are bright and fearless for fall 2014.
