Giorgio Armani’s fall couture collection is all about softness, with a fair amount of texture, to fun loving polka-dot veiling, fringing and tulle. His collection consists of several evening dresses offering both long and short lengths. Interestingly, shorts replaced trousers which were not as prevalent as with past collections. Perhaps for a younger women, long sensual legs are very much part of look this fall. Lacquered red was the foundation of the collection, and I’m told a favorite color of Giorgio Armani when dressing Hollywood stars. There is an interesting use of veils covered with red or black polka dots, some short, some long enough to cover the whole dress. The runway collection climaxed with a fabulous bubble jacket over a hot red evening dress. Glamorous, bold and sensual looks for fall, no one does it better than Giorgio Armani.
