Empty Promises

I am no longer getting sick and tired and I am sick and tired of the mud slinging, finger pointing and the griping of adults who failed to hold accountability of their actions.  Watching the house in section on ZNS TV is a disgrace.  It is appalling to see how disrespectful and degrading the communication that is conducted between representative of this country.  People who promise to walk with pride!  No wonder we are in the position we are faced with today.  What happen to RESPECT?, What happened to holding one responsible for their actions?, What happened to putting Bahamians first?,

Did it all died when my godfather Sir Lynden Pindling died.  If the dead can speak he would ask the very same questions.  I really don’t care which party is in the house, I care about what they are doing for the Bahamian people and the country.  We fight and kill each other everyday, and you wonder why people are killing people everyday.  As representative how many murders have you committed on the streets of your minds, and in your hearts?  A man is defined by his character once presented with power.  Every election year we are promised the same things, by both the PLP and the FNM they encourages Bahamians to register and to vote. To vote for the party and leader that will demonstrate success, not those who make promises and never deliver.

In my past years the only thing I have seen was Crown Land been sold or given away, to people who make empty promises to improve our country.  I wonder where they learn that from, take a good look our nation and the people that are suppose to be our father, they learn it from them PLP and FNM.

We the Bahamian people have been abused and neglected for years, and all we ever get is a bowl full of empty promises that put dents into our pockets and scratch our ability to even try harder, because was happening for years.   Here today we have two parties trying to remind the people of the Bahamas of each other’s corruption.  Don’t you think we the people of the Bahamas is tied of the finger pointing?, and when you do point how many fingers are pointing back at you.  As far as my views are concern, Peter is no better than Paul. The name of the parties is not corrupt, it is the people we choose, for what ever reason.

We are truly disgust of the people who call themselves leaders, when are you going to clean up our own house first, when you we going to put God first, when are you going to change the way you think, stop being full of greed and selfishness? When, the bible speaks of a great nation, what makes you think it is not the Bahamian people, it also speak of a nation (party) will rise up.  When are we going to believe in our National Anthem, when are we really going to lift up our heads and walk with respect dignity and pride.  We have lots of educated Bahamian that is capable of turning our country around, but instead, we allowed foreigners to come into our country and tell us how to live, you sell our land, and enslave our minds, but yet we shall rise, you sell our birthright and call it infrastructure, but yet we shall rise, shading deal were made under the tables and million of dollars exchanged hands for favors with the expense of the Bahamian people, but again I say we shall rise.  It is election time again we you the people of the Bahamas is going to hear the same empty promises.  I dare you not to dance to the sounds of the drums like iguanas, hypnotized by empty promises and fascinated by the charms of their voices.  I dare you not to vote for a party, but rather for the person that will deliver inspite of the circumstances, I dare you to reach deep within and say to those who come back with the same cheap date line, “What have they done for me lately”, don’t look as an individual, but look at what the country have profited, I dare you to look at all the empty deals made with company such as the Baha Mar deal, the Gent Deal in West End, 10,000 acres in Mayaguana was giving away, they sold out Batelco to Cable and Wireless, just to name a few; are you not tired of feeling like a prostitute. Do not be fooled by their artificial hypnosis, it does not matter what party is on top, what matter is the people we choose to run our county. People with integrity, people with dignity, people who can be held accountable for their actions, people who sing praise together, not cursing out each other.

Just remember if they can’t run your county, they are not worth voting for.

And know this like the song writer Tina Tuner puts it “What Love Have To Do with IT”

Absolutely nothing.

Watch out Representatives of both parties look out for that great person that will bring forth a great nation.
