Last week I returned from having spent four nights
at Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport for what began as a medical
emergency. Before my stay, I had occasion to use Emergency Room services
at the Rand over the years with satisfaction.
The
treatment I received was professional and caring. We all know the
challenges that the doctors and patients face when a hospital does not
have all the testing equipment it needs. But that lack of equipment has
made these doctors better doctors. They must solve problems through
knowledge and professional experiences. They take a conservative
approach when required. They take the time. They strive to know the
patients. They smile. You feel confident.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the nursing staff and the surgical doctors: Drs. Thompson, Kemp, Corral, Massey, Santos
, Storr and Nesbitt.
Freeport is lucky to have the Rand and these doctors.
