AML Foods Limited Announces New Audit Committee Chairperson

Nassau, Bahamas -  AML Foods Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Alison Treco to the position of Independent Non-Executive Audit Chairperson, effective September 15, 2011.

“Mrs. Treco is well respected in the business community and brings with her more than 30 years experience in the accounting profession. She is very knowledgeable and qualified in her field and we are delighted that she has agreed to join our audit committee”, said Mr. Dionisio D’Aguilar, Chairman of AML, in announcing Mrs. Treco’s appointment. “We look forward to Alison’s experience which will undoubtedly bring significant added value to our audit committee and corporate governance process.”

Mrs. Treco was educated in the United Kingdom and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ACA) and The Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants. She is also qualified as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts in the United States. Mrs. Treco joined KPMG London in 1980 and became a partner of KPMG in 1993. In 2004 she left KPMG to establish her own accounting practice and is currently a shareholder and director of FT Consultants Ltd., which provides a wide range of accounting services. In addition to the AML Foods audit committee, she serves and has served on the audit committees of a bank, a fund administrator, an insurance company and an investment holding company.


Commenting on her appointment, Mrs. Treco says, “AML Foods Limited has been serving the Bahamian Public for more than 20 years and has a strong culture of excellence and leadership. I look forward to working with this great team to continue moving the company forward for the benefit of customers, shareholders, staff and the communities we operate in.”
