Carl’s Jr. General Manager, Nushieka Saunders, is set to train Canadian employees in Calgary next week as a part of the brand’s All-Star team of elite international managers.

Nushieka Saunders Will Assist with New Store Opening in Calgary
Nassau, Bahamas - Next week, Carl’s Jr. General Manager, Nushieka Saunders will brave the cold and head to Alberta, Canada to train employees at a new franchise outlet in Calgary. Saunders is a member of the restaurant’s elite group of international All-Star trainers. The company selects strong managers from within a network of more than 1,100 franchises worldwide to assist with store openings to ensure consistent brand standards and operational procedures at new locations.
An eleven-year veteran in the local quick-service industry, Saunders has been a part of the local Carl’s Jr. team since the first location opened in The Bahamas in May 2014. She started as an Assistant Manager and within five weeks on the team, she was promoted to General Manager at the store.
To qualify for the Carl’s Jr. All-Star management training team, Saunders spent five weeks in California earning a coveted spot within the franchise network. She is now one of a small number of international Food & Beverage managers at Carl’s Jr. with a specialization in franchise operations.
Micah O’Brien, District Manager of Carl’s Jr., a Division of AML Foods Ltd. says, even with Saunders’ wealth of experience from local F&B outlets, her professional development elevated significantly when she joined the Carl's Jr. brand.
“We saw potential in Nushieka from the day she interviewed to join the Carl’s Jr. team.
She is a dedicated individual and is hungry for success,” O’Brien explained. “As an international All-Star trainer, she is now among the few elite General Managers under the brand to travel the world opening new stores and working closely with franchisees on operational processes. She is among our top performers and we know that she will take full advantage of this opportunity in Calgary.”

Carl’s Jr. currently employs 28 Bahamians at its East West Highway location with plans to break ground on a second New Providence location in 2016.
