BTC’s Command Center remains open at its National Network Operations Center as it continues to monitor the effects of monitoring Hurricane Joaquin.

Though commercial connectivity has been lost in some pockets in the South East islands due to power outages, BTC remains in contact with its Family Island management teams via satellite phones.

BTC has advised that it is presently applying a $5 credit to all mobile customers in the following islands, ensuring that these customers will be able to connect with family and friends:

• Acklins Island

• Crooked Island

• Mayaguana

• San Salvador

• Rum Cay

• Ragged Island

• Inagua

• Cat Island

• Long Island

• Long Cay

BTC advises that the process of applying credits will begin today and will continue throughout the weekend, until all customers in the above mentioned islands have been credited.

The Company remains committed to keeping the entire country connected. We ask the public to report any additional concerns or issues directly to BTC, by calling us toll free at CALL-BTC or 225-5282. Customers may also reach out to us on social media.
