You run the show

Nassau, The Bahamas - With ongoing infrastructural upgrades and investments, BTC is confident that 2018 will be one of new growth in its broadband and TV offerings. The customer remains at the epicenter of its development, as the company keeps its eyes on delivering best in class quality service, aimed at improving the overall customer experience.

One of these services include Fiber to the Home, which delivers up to 300mb in speed with an individual and secured connection right to the customer’s doorsteps. BTC has used Rum Cay, San-Salvador, Crooked Island and Eastern New Providence as a launch-pad for the new service. The product’s uptake has been positive, with over 6,500 new customers. In New Providence, BTC has continued to increase its FTTH penetration. The service is now available from The Mall at Marathon, all the way to the eastern end of the island. While work is ongoing in Eastern Providence, BTC has also continued efforts across the rest of New Providence, and in the Family Islands to improve access to fast broadband services for the entire country. The company has recently completed a full “rip and replace” of its infrastructure in West End, and throughout portions of Grand Bahama, and has already begun delivering FTTH speeds to residential and commercial customers in West End and will commence in Freeport next week.

BTC CEO, Dexter Cartwright said, “We are undoubtedly saying to our customers “You run the Show”. We’ve listened to your needs and we’re continuing to deliver. We are making progress as we work on our ability to provide a seamless customer experience regardless of your location. We have started to replace legacy equipment to ensure fast broadband speeds throughout Nassau and the Family Islands, which will increase our broadband and internet television penetration throughout the country. Efforts have started in Exuma, Andros, Eleuthera, Abaco, Berry Island and Long Island.”

FTTH and fast internet allow customers access to next generation services including, Flow TV, BTC’s modern approach to television, which empowers subscribers to take control of their viewing experience. Next week, the company will launch “Flow Evo”, an enhanced version of Flow TV, offering a refreshed user experience with an updated interface. New features like “Catch-Up TV”, “Pause Live TV” and the introduction of the Flow App store are just a few of the improvements that will allow BTC to continue to offer a contemporary experience at unrivalled prices.

Cartwright continued, “We are grateful for our loyal customers and we are continuing to improve our service offerings across all products. Last year, we reduced our mobile roaming rates, and our rates to call Haiti, Jamaica, the US & Canada. We will continue to enhance our roaming services as we leverage our global reach and scale. We also became the first carrier to provide rollover data, and we still provide the best pricing for all mobile services.”

BTC recently initiated a recruitment exercise in New Providence and Grand Bahama to augment its retail and commercial sales teams, following its upgrades. The company will also recruit team members in the Family Islands to assist with new installations and customer service as we expand our customer base.
