Nassau, Bahamas - The newly formed
Bahamas Association of
Chiropractic (B.A.C.) hosted their first annual seminar November 11th
and 12th 2011 at the British Colonial Hilton, downtown Nassau.
The seminar presenter was professional international speaker, accomplished
author and vice president of Parker Chiropractic College, Dr. Gilles
Lamarche.
The B.A.C seminar had an excellent
turn out with 10 of the 11 practicing Bahamian Chiropractors attending
the event. Friday night the B.A.C had dinner at the Aqua Room at the
Hilton. Dr. Lamarche spoke on Chiropractic philosophy and the medical
miracles he has experienced in his practice and personal life. He explained,
“most people think the most important system of the human body is
the circulatory system or heart,” but what tells the heart to continue
to beat on its own? The answer is the brain and nervous system. The
nervous system controls everything. If the nervous system is not working
properly because of spinal subluxation; the body will not function optimally.
As chiropractors, we work to restore the workings of the nervous system,
thus allowing the body to heal itself.
Saturday’s seminar topics
included developing a 10 year vision statement for the association that
will transform the chiropractic profession in the Bahamas into a mainstream
health care choice all people.
The B.A.C would like give a
special thanks to our corporate sponsor, Furniture Plus and the Ashley
Bed System.
