A news citizen's group has been formed called Citizens For Immigration Reform (C-FIR), and they  have issued the following press statement:

No country can survive without the control of illegal immigration. The Bahamas is no exception. In the wake of new immigration policies coming into effect, we wish to announce the formation of Citizens For Immigration Reform (C-FIR), a civic watch group and major proponent of immigration reform & stability.

C-FIR commends the Government of the Bahamas for its recent initiatives & policies, as an attempt in part, to curb illegal Immigration. There are many detractors, and their diatribe extends beyond our borders, seeking to affect this country negatively.

C-FIR will be watching.

C-FIR will defend and respond to such criticisms that are void of facts and logics.

C-FIR is not sanctioned by the Government of The Bahamas, and does not speak on its behalf.

In the end, Our Sovereignty must not be threatened.

C-FIR can be found on Facebook: www.facebook.com/cfir242
