Defence Force continues search for missing man

Coral Harbour Base, (RBDF) - The Royal Bahamas Defence Force is continuing its search for Mr. James Green, a boater who went missing after leaving Sandy Point, Abaco on April 16, 2019.

Mr. Green, a resident of Sandy Point, was last seen on a 17-foot open hull boat.  An initial search was launched by members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Police, Bahamas Air Sea Search and Rescue Association (BASRA), the United States Coast Guard and local fishermen.

A US Coast Guard helicopter and a Defence Force aircraft had conducted an aerial search that was  extended from the southern Abaco area and its surrounding cays, including Moores Island, to Great Sturrup cay and the Berry Islands. Although the vessel has since been recovered, Mr. Green has not been found.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Mr. Green are asked to contact the Defence Force at 424-9414 or the Police at 328-8477.
