Short title and commencement. (l) This Act may be cited as the Freedom of Information Act, 2015. (2) This Act shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may appoint by notice published in the Gazette, and different dates may be so appointed for different provisions. 2. Interpretation. In this Act— "appointed day" means the day appointed pursuant to section I (2); "chief officer" means in the case of a Ministry, the Permanent Secretary and in all other cases the head of the respective public authority; "Commissioner" means the Information Commissioner referred to in section 30; "days" means a number of days, excluding Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday; "exempt record" means a record referred to in Part Ill; "information manager" means the person appointed as such under section 46...
