Grand Bahama Island
 – According to the Ypartnership/Yankelovich National Leisure Travel MONITOR, a nationwide study measuring consumer travel preferences, approximately two-thirds of leisure travelers use the Internet to gather travel information. To accommodate today’s tech-savvy consumers, the Our Lucaya resort on Grand Bahama Island, in cooperation with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, has launched a series of online videos, called Webisodes, to showcase the destination as well as the resort’s two properties, The Westin Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya resort and Sheraton Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya resort.

Nearly 70 percent of travelers cite property images as an influence in decision making, according to the Ypartnership/Yankelovich study. Recognizing this demand as well as the increased level of competition within the ever-growing world of online vacation planning, Ypartnership, which also serves as the hoteliers’ agency of record, produced thirteen, minute-long videos to highlight the unique aspects of Our Lucaya, not only for consumers but also for journalists, travel agents and tour operators.

Episode topics range from weddings and meeting facilities to nightlife and entertainment, water sports and nature tours. In each segment, viewers hear first-hand from on-island experts and first-time guests while witnessing the look and feel of a truly idyllic paradise. The first segment, featuring the dual destinations’ family-friendly activities and acclaimed Camp Lucaya, can be viewed at http://press.ourlucaya.com/.

The official Web site of Our Lucaya, www.OurLucaya.com, is host to the Webisode series, as each episode is individually unveiled throughout the summer and fall. Episodes are also uploaded to popular video-sharing Web sites, such as Google Video and YouTube.
