Historic Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina Scheduled for a $4.4 Million Renovation

ALICE TOWN, The Bahamas - Southern California-based Hankey Group of Companies, today announced plans for a $4.4 million renovation of the historic Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina.

The renovation program is now underway and entails a new pool and pool furniture, updating for the 75-slip marina (primarily docks A, B and C), rebuild for the resort’s 60-foot glass-bottom dive boat and several other capital improvements to the property, including landscaping , painting, and new windows and sliding glass doors.

The 51-room Big Game Club, which was purchased and re-opened by the Hankey Group of Companies in 2010, is a popular, internationally-regarded resort less than 50 miles from South Florida. The property is known for world-class diving and snorkeling, fishing and as a family-friendly destination with many on-the-water activities, including kayaking, paddle boarding, boating and sailing.

In 2010, the resort underwent a $3.5 million renovation that included all guest rooms, the new Bimini Big Game Bar & Grill, Hemingway Rum Bar & Social Lounge and the Outfitter Shop.

The hotel is currently managed by the Horizon Hotel Group.
