Patrick Davis Hope Town Songwriters Festival Returns to Abacos

Hope Town, ABACO, Bahamas  – If the weather has chilled you to the bone this winter, escape to warm weather, sea breezes and performances by some of Nashville’s best musical talents at the Third Annual Patrick Davis Songwriters Festival in Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas. The free festival will be held Tuesday, February 17 to Sunday, February 22, 2015 at locations all around Hope Town, Abaco including Firefly Sunset Resort, Harbour’s Edge Restaurant, Abaco Inn, Sea Spray Resort and Marina, Hope Town Inn and Marina, Cracker P’s and Lubbers’ Landing Resort.

The festival will illuminate this Bahamian beach village with events from some of Nashville’s greatest musical talent and includes a mix and mingle with the songwriters, live music shows and stories behind the writing.

All of the week’s events are free and open to the public.

Songwriters performing include artists such as Sirius XM Radio’s “The Highway” artist JT Hodges, Mark Bryan of Hootie & The Blowfish, James Otto, Django Walker, James Slater, Randy Montana, Tyler Reeve, Johnny Bulford, Jesse Rice - who penned "Cruise" for duo Florida Georgia Line, Corey Crowder, American Idol’s Janell Wheeler, Wayne Munn, Bryson Jennings and festival host, Patrick Davis.

These talent artists have been involved in the writing of hits for star performers like Zac Brown Band, Pat Green, Edwin McCain, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson and many more.

Co-founder of the festival singer-songwriter, Patrick Davis is known for writing many hits such as Jason Michael Carroll’s Top 10 hit, “Where I’m From,” and “Be Wary of a Woman,” for Charleston native Darius Rucker. He has also has songs recorded by Jimmy Buffett, Lady Antebellum and Guy Clark. Davis has also recorded & released four independent albums with his latest album “Red, White & Blue Jeans” released in 2014.

New to the 2015 festival are sponsors Silver Airways, Sirius XM Radio, Sands Beer and Firefly Vodka and Distillery.

These sponsors came together to giveaway a trip for two to the 2015 festival.

Transportation will be provided by Hope Town Car Rentals and Junior Cart rentals.

Wednesday, February 18 - Songwriters In the Round, 8:00 p.m. Sea Spray Resort & Marina

Thursday, February 19 - Songwriters In the Round, 8:00 p.m. Hope Town Inn & Marina

Friday, February 20 - Songwriters in The Round, 8:00 p.m. Harbour’s Edge

Saturday, February 21 - Lunch Time Jam, 1:00 p.m. Lubbers’ Landing and Cracker P’s

Saturday, February 21 - 8 Man Songwiters Jam, 8:00 p.m., Firefly Sunset Resort

Sunday, February 22 - Farewell Brunch Show, 1:00 p.m. Abaco Inn
