Coral Harbour Base - After a collaborative effort, family members can now share a sigh of relief as their loved ones have returned home after being missing at sea on their 23-foot white speed boat after it developed mechanical difficulties.

On Sunday afternoon around 3:45 pm, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Operations Section received an emergency call from Mr. Wardle at BASRA, who informed the Operations staff of a vessel in distress with three males onboard approximately 4 miles off of Whale Cay in the Berry Islands. The Defence Force Fast Patrol Craft P-126 coxswained by Petty Officer Glen Colebrooke was dispatched to the area in question.

Shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Monday the search ended when the disabled vessel along with three males were discovered 5 miles off Little Harbour Cay in the Berry Islands. The occupants were a little dehydrated but in good health.

The vessel along with its passengers were towed to Coral Harbour Base shortly after 5:00 p.m. today and returned to their family members and friends.
