PLANTATION, Florida - ‘The 16 Islands 16 Weddings One Priceless Day’ Promotion, which ended recently and was launched on February 14, 2014 in New York City by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism (BMOT) was a phenomenal success”, said Freda Malcolm, Director of Romance at the BMOT.


“The success of this innovative, social media promotion could not have been possible without the fantastic companies who partnered with the BMOT”.

The promotion which was opened to engaged couples residing in the USA, resulted in more than 3,000 entries and was designed to give 16 lucky couples a complimentary dream wedding on any of 16 islands in The Bahamas at 16:00 hours on January 16, 2015.  The selected islands are:  Abaco, Acklins, Andros, Berry Islands, Bimini, Cat Island, Crooked Island, Eleuthera, Exuma, Grand Bahama, Harbour Island, Inagua, Long Island, Nassau, Paradise Island and San Salvador.
