Bahamas Tourism Opens New Offices in USA

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Islands Of The Bahamas positioned in the global arena as a premiere tourism destination, has announced the official opening of marketing offices throughout the U.S. and recently introduced their newly appointed US based sales team to key partners in the Florida area at a “Mix ‘N Mingle” , held at their Plantation, Florida office.

Within the United States, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism now has physical offices in New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, CA, Houston, Texas, Atlanta, GA and Plantation, FL.

Most of the offices have been only recently opened and are now manned by a cadre of young Bahamian professionals who have been given the mandate to continue to strengthen relations and partnerships while initiating new business and trade programs in their various areas.

At the Mix N’ Mingle, recently held in the Florida office, the new Area Managers were introduced, including Jennifer Gardiner- Bannister Area Manager, based in Florida; Mikala Moss, New York ; Garbrielle Archer, Washington, DC; P.J. Douglas Sands, Houston Texas , Edward Archer, Atlanta, GA and Prescott Young, Los Angeles, CA.

Introducing the dynamic team to Bahamas partners in the Florida area, was Director General for Bahamas Tourism, Mrs. Joy Jibrilu, who represented the country’s Minister of Tourism, The Honourable, Obie, Wilchcombe.

Other Ministry of Tourism Officials present for the official introduction included, the Deputy Director General of Tourism, Ellison Thompson. Also on hand at the official introduction were Marketing leaders for The Bahamas Tourism team, Mr. Greg Rolle, Sr. Director USA, Sales & Marketing and Mrs. Valery Brown Alce, Sr. Director.

Guests at the Mix N’ Mingle were treated to a taste of The Bahamas, with Bahamian culinary delights including conch fritters.
