Bahamas dream wedding winning brides from Florida select Mon Cheri gowns

PLANTATION, Florida - The three lucky brides from Florida that recently won The Islands of The Bahamas, “16 Islands, 16 Weddings, One Priceless Day” contest, came together this weekend to select their complimentary Mon Cheri bridal gowns, designed by David Tutera and Sophia Tolli.

The bridal gown, which ranges in prices from $1,300 to $1,900, was one of several prizes won by the brides in The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s unique, social media contest.

The brides, Cristina Gaston, of Miami, Wanjira Banfield of Fort Lauderdale, and Patrice Prescott of Haileah are scheduled to marry in Bimini, Abaco and Andros respectively. They were also presented with a bottle of Korbel bottle of California (Brut) Champagne and along with their fiancés, were also treated to a small reception following their dress selection.

Ms. Yoly Stanbury, Owner of Alessa’s Bridal, the selected sponsor for Mon Cheri dresses in Florida, said she “is extremely pleased with her partnership with The Bahamas and moreover, being able to make the brides dream come through”.

Other prizes won by the couple include cash rewards by MasterCard®, wedding rings by Steven Singer Jewelers, round trip airline transportation to The Bahamas, John Bull gift baskets and a tuxedo for the groom from 1888mytuxes.com.

Wanjira Banfield of Fort Lauderdale, Florida in her Mon Cheri bridal gown designed by Sophia Tolli Wanjira was one of sixteen lucky couples, who won a complimentary dream wedding in The Bahamas. She will marry on January 16, 2015 at 16:00 hours in Abaco, Bahamas.

In addition to this, the couples’ wedding, reception and honeymoon, complete with cake, flowers, food and drinks for up to four persons, are also complimentary.

Luxurious accommodations are being provided by the Stella Maris Resort Club, Hope Town Harbour Lodge, Kamalame Cay Hotel, Acklins Island Lodge, Carriearl Boutique Hotel, Resort World Bimini, Pigeon Cay Club, Tranquility On The Bay, Pineapple Fields, Valentine’s Resort, Sandals Resorts, Inagua Ocean Villas, Riding Rock, Grand Lucayan Resort, British Colonial Hilton Hotel and Atlantis Resort.

The 16 priceless wedding experiences will take place on January 16, 2015 at 16:00 hours on Acklins, Abaco, Andros, Crooked Island, The Berry Island, Bimini, Cat Island, Eleuthera, Exuma, Harbour Island, Grand Bahama, Inagua, Long Island, Nassau, Paradise Island and San Salvador, Bahamas.
