FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Internationally known Bahamian religious leader, Bishop Neil Ellis, recently projected that The Bahamas could expect about 2,500 visitors to the country to attend the Global United Fellowship’s (GUF) 2019 convention scheduled to take place July 9th-12th at the Atlantis Resorts, Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.

Bishop Ellis who as the leader of the International group is its Presiding Bishop, gave his projection in the wake of the organization’s recent, well attended, 2018 Convention in Greensboro, North, Carolina.

The GUF, a reportedly fast growing Christian organization, was formed five years ago, and currently has close to 1,200 churches affiliated from a variety of denominations.  The organization’s annual convention is titled “The Gathering” and this year’s event is said to have drawn an attendance of about 4,000 persons from across the U.S. and The Bahamas.

Director of Religious Market for The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism Mr. Linville Johnson, delivered greetings at the convention and spoke to the group on behalf of his country’s Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Dionisio D’Aguilar.  Mr. Johnson also invited and encouraged attendees to be a part of the “2019 Gathering” in The Bahamas.
