Bloggers mingle with their Bahamian hosts

African American bloggers are introducing their subscribers to the wonders of The Bahamas after a press trip to Nassau.

The influential bloggers enjoyed a People to People experience with host Andrea Coakley at the Oakes Field home of her mother, Marguerite Jackson.  The encounter was among the experiences that opened the eyes of the bloggers to the true beauty of The Bahamas - the people.

Ronnie Tyler of BlackandMarriedwithKids.com said in her blog that she fell in love with the Bahamian people due to her experiences on the trip.  She also recommended a romantic getaway to The Bahamas for couples who want to achieve greater intimacy.

"When I was surrounded by such beauty, I couldn't help but be thankful to God for all my blessings and just being able to have the experience," said Ms. Tyler, who made the trip with her husband, Lamar. "It made me think of how blessed I was to have my family and my loving husband."

Ms. Tyler, who is one of Babble.com's top 100 mom bloggers, was pleased to have the opportunity to learn about the Bahamas from individuals who love the country. Similarly, Britni Danielle wrote in her trippinontheweekend.com blog that the people she met on the trip made her Bahamas visit a special one.

"If you ever visit The Bahamas, leave your resort…and hang with the people," Ms. Danielle said.

Other blogs represented on the press trip included makesmewannaholler.com and Cruise Noir.
