Film financing was of particular interest to the Bahamas Film & Television Commission. “More and more we find ourselves in the position of having to give helpful advice to independent filmmakers in The Bahamas and elsewhere,” Mr. Woods said. “Being able to point them toward sources of funding is useful to them, but it also helps us because when they get their funding, our location benefits.” The Bahamas has been the location for nearly 200 television commercials, still photography shoots, television shows, documentaries and short and feature films this year.
