FREEPORT, Grand Bahama - After delays in Philadelphia and then redirection to Nassau, Sunwing 186 passengers finally arrived on Grand Bahama for their four-day visit. Director of Ministry of Tourism Betty Bethel said en route to Grand Bahama from Philadelphia via Vacation Express they unfortunately experienced numerous delays while in Philadelphia, and then upon approach to Grand Bahama were not able to land due to an air traffic control glitch. However, on Wednesday, the Ministry of Tourism, Grand Bahama, pulled out all the stops and tourism officials met and greeted the visitors, and provided them with treats Grand Bahama style.
