Nassau, Bahamas - For four days in August, August 7-10,  300 contestants from the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia will converge in the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Convention Centre, for the WBFF Worlds Bahamas, which will be the culmination of a series of regional and national competitions held around the world within the past several months. WBFF World Bahamas is set to be the super bowl of fitness.

WBFF Worlds Bahamas 2019 is brought to our destination through a strategic partnership between the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation and the World Beauty Fitness and Fashion Inc. The WBFF is an elite organization based in Canada, that stages pageants around the world that showcase fitness, beauty and fashion.

At WBFF Worlds Bahamas 2019 fitness competition meets glamour, beauty and fashion.  From this spectacular fitness runway pageant featuring a male and female category, two winners will emerge:  the Miss WBFF Worlds Bahamas  and the WBFF Worlds Bahamas Champion.

The first three days of the event, August 7, 8 and 9 will involve closed activities for contestants and media.  Saturday, August 10 is the feature event, open to the public — the red carpet gala fitness runway extravaganza.

“The Ministry of Tourism is very excited about this collaboration between our organization and the WBFF. This partnership will bring the WBFF signature event to our destination over two consecutive years, in 2019, and again, in 2020.This partnership is mutually rewarding for both parties. The WBFF relishes the opportunity to bring its culminating pageant to a dream vacation destination, The Islands of The Bahamas.” says Minister D’Aguilar.

This partnership is mutually rewarding for both parties. The WBFF relishes the opportunity to bring its culminating pageant to a dream vacation destination, The Islands Of The Bahamas.

The events of the WBFF are closely followed by millions on the social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.  The social media exposure that our destination will garner through hosting this event ties into the major plank of our marketing strategy which is to build brand awareness and heighten the visibility of our destination in our source markets of the USA, Canada, and Europe.

There will be over 300 contestants, who will each be accompanied by 3 – 4 persons, in addition to judges, producers and organizers. The yield from this event will be a significant injection of revenue into our local economy, benefitting transportation providers, restaurants, retail stores, and numerous tourism sector operators.

As a result of this fruitful collaboration between MOTA and WBFF, the excitement of Summer 2019 in the City of Nassau will go up at least ten notches.
