On the Set of "Way of the Dolphin"

Grand Bahama Island - Way of the Dolphin, the sequel to Eye of the Dolphin (shot in 2005 in Grand Bahama Island) is now in its final days of shooting.

The first film, Eye of the Dolphin was about 14-year-old Alyssa who travels to The Bahamas to meet her estranged father, Hawk who is a dolphin trainer.  Alyssa discovers she shares her father's gift for communicating with dolphins, leading to a bond with one wild dolphin. Way of the Dolphin examines the research and development of Dolphins, to learn their language and how they can assist mankind in better understanding the marine environment.

In Way of the Dolphin, Alyssa, (now played by Caitlin Wachs) is older and her adventures continue...

The movie, written by Wendell Morris is directed by Michael Sellers, produced by Susan Johnson, and the cast is as follows:

Caitlin Wachs - Alyssa

Ivana Milicevic - Gwen
David Keith - Hawk
Paul Wesley -  Morrison
George Harris - Daniel
Christine Adams - Tamika
Samantha Jade - Kita
Leah Eneas (Bahamian) - Duvey

The film is using all sorts of locations on Grand Bahama Island, with Smith's Point Settlement as their main area of production.

One night Bahamian singing talent and recording artist, "Spice" was in for a shoot at Port Lucaya Count Basie Square (See photos below).

Many local crew, and extras where hired for this film, which once again proves that The Bahamas is an ideal location for film making. Vast and beautiful beaches, dolphins and perfect weather!
