Pelican Point hosts sixteenth Annual Coconut Festival

Grand Bahama Island, The Bahamas - The sixteenth Annual Coconut Festival was held recently in Pelican Point, Grand Bahama. This annual festival showcases the myriad of local cuisine and art and craft products from the coconut.

Opening the festival was Mr. Harrison Thompson, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism who brought brief remarks on behalf of the Hon. Obie Wilchcombe, Minister of Tourism.

The festival delivered a star studded line of local entertainers, including the Royal Bahamas Police Force Pop Band, Avvy and Kirkland Bodie, better known as KB.
