Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - August 9th, 2009 While getting prepped for the sold out gala Miss Universe 2009 Swimsuit Competition on Grand Bahama Island and being asked how everything was going with the Miss Universe Competition in The Bahamas, a very enthusiastic Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization remarked; “It’s obvious that The Bahamas is equipped to handle a small army of 300 people…Every event has been flawless, very easy, our staff has said that this has been the easiest show we’ve had in years.”

Two thumbs up for The Bahamas on the kudos from the contestants and the organizers of the 2009 Miss Universe competition.
