(VIDEO) Marathon Bahamas planning committee meets with Ministry of Tourism

Nassau, Bahamas -
Organizers of Marathon Bahamas pay a courtesy call on the Minister of
Tourism, Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace in early December 2009. The
Marathon is slated for February 14th, 2010.
The committee has applied and expect to receive certification from the IAAF and Association of International Marathon Races.
In this video you will hear from Franklyn Wilson, Chairman of the
Marathon Bahamas committee who said they will also be attracting a
world-class caliber of marathon officials.
The Marathon's major sponsor is Sunshine Insurance.
The race course will be designed to showcase the beauty of the city of
Nassau and New Providence. Registration forms and sponsorship
information will be available from Sunshine Insurance.
Mr. Frank
"Pancho" Rahming, a nationally recognized expert in athletics, has
agreed to serve as race director. Leaders in tourism, athletics,
finance, and medicine have agreed to serve as founding members of the
non-profit Marathon Bahamas board.
