People’s Choice Award Polls To Close In One Week
Nassau, Bahamas- Persons interested in seeing their favourite Bahamian musician honoured in the 2015 Cacique Awards have only one more week to get their votes in before the People’s Choice voting polls are closed.
The polls opened in early October after radio stations submitted the hottest secular and gospel songs on their playlists.
Making the cut for secular were ‘Back that bam bam’-DMAC, ‘Happy Hour’-Visage, ‘242 Forward’- Julien Believe, ‘Swing Swing’-Avvy, ‘Night and Day’-Baha Men, ‘Float’-DMAC, ‘I Ain’t Fa VAT’-KB and ‘Crab Souse’-Sky Juice Band.
The nominees for Gospel are ‘One More Hallejuah’- Nehemiah, ‘Outta Control’- Christian Massive, ‘Hosanna’-Gospel Boys, ‘All Over the World’ –Landlord, ‘You did it all’-Kem Gardiner, ‘I’m still here’- Lyrically Blesssed, ‘I surrender all’- Monique Terez, ‘Cleanse Me’-Pam Collins and ‘We need you’-Jonathan Farrington.
The Cacique Awards will also honour the best of the best in The Bahamas’ hospitality industry.
Ministry of Tourism officials are looking to honour individuals and organizations in the following categories: Transportation, Local Airlines and Tour Operators, Human Resources Development, Sports and Leisure, Special Events, Creative Arts, Handicraft, Sustainable Tourism, the Clement T. Maynard Lifetime Achievement Award and the Minister’s Hospitality Award.
Nominations for these categories are closed come October 24, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.
The Cacique Awards will be held on January 24, 2015 at the Melia Nassau Resort.
