Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - The Bahamas International Maritime Conference and Trade Show (BIMCATS) 2010 results from collaboration of the Ministry of The Environment and Bahamas Maritime Authority with public and private sector partners.

Under the theme ‘The Maritime Sector and the Environment’, we aim:

  • to highlight how sustainable maritime policy development and technological advances offset environmental degradation;
  • to stimulate interest in the many world class maritime services offered in The Bahamas; and
  • to encourage leading shipping companies to consider registering their vessels on the Bahamian Ship Register.
The BIMCATS 2010 promises to be filled with opportunities for dialogue, debate and meaningful interaction among all who participate; and is slated for 9th – 12th February, 2010 at the beautiful Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

The conference be officially opened by the Rt. Hon. Hubert Alexander Ingraham, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

The plenary agenda will showcase world-class speakers and conclude with an address from the International Maritime Organisation’s Secretary General, Admiral Efthimios E. Mitropoulos.  The agenda is not all work – many opportunities will be afforded for networking in a social environment.  Enter our website for registration details.
