PARADISE ISLAND, The Bahamas  - Atlantis, Paradise Island was recently awarded Marriott’s “Leading with a Global Mindset” Award, which recognizes the local mega-resort property for its professionalism and ingenuity in the hotel industry. Awarded for its “multiple revenue streams” and a team that constantly looks to industry partners in an effort to improve the guest experience, the 3400-room resort is also singled out for the team’s effective management of 38 restaurants and bars and the partnerships forged with television companies, major sporting teams and entertainers, as well as its ability to drive room nights into the resort.

Atlantis Senior Vice President and GM with responsibility for The Cove and Marine Water Park Operations Cristian Sariego accepted the award on behalf of Atlantis. “It is an honour to have been awarded this “Leading with a Global Mindset” award. It is an annual Marriott award for the Caribbean and Latin American (CALA) region of Marriott given internally and presented during the Marriott General Managers Regional meeting. As a new member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, which boasts a portfolio of distinctive independent hotels and is put together by one of the top global competitors in the industry, Atlantis is happy that the dedicated efforts and invaluable contributions of the team as a whole have been recognized,” Sariego said.

The award recognition also noted Atlantis’ readiness to “learn from the cruise industry” and its introduction of “two revolutionary kids experience targeting 5-11 year olds and 12-16 year olds.”
