Nassau, Bahamas (April 19, 2017) – Baha Mar continued its opening week celebrations with the “Leave Your Mark” ceremony held yesterday. All associates were invited to celebrate their dedication and contribution towards the opening of Baha Mar by leaving their handprint and names on The Founders Wall at Baha Mar, a mural conceptualized and designed by Baha Mar’s Creative Arts team.

“I would like to thank all Baha Mar associates for their commitment and hard work towards making the opening of Baha Mar a success,” said Graeme Davis, President of Baha Mar. “I can’t think of a more meaningful way to commemorate everyone’s engagement and contribution than to leave their mark on the building for years to come.”

Finishing touches continue to be made across the resort development, as associates receive their uniforms and prepare Grand Hyatt Baha Mar guest rooms, lobbies, outdoor spaces and more.

Opening week continues with the “Light It Up!” ceremony on Wednesday night, a first-look at Baha Mar’s dramatic fountains and show lakes, an extravaganza of LED lighting, color, Bahamian-inspired moving imagery and high-energy music, exclusively for associates and their families.

The strategic phase one opening on Friday will include the preview of Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Baha Mar Casino, Baha Mar Arts & Convention Center, Baha Mar’s Royal Blue Golf Club, more than 12 indoor and outdoor restaurants and bars, the resort pool areas and beachfront and the dramatic fountain shows choreographed with music, film and light. The opening celebrations mark the birth of the $4.2 billion development of Baha Mar, poised to elevate the island vacation experience and pioneer the next generation of great destination resorts.
