Nassau, Bahamas - Island Destination Services (IDS) won the 2016 World Travel Award for the Bahamas' Leading Destination Management Company on Saturday night at a spectacular gala hosted at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Managing Director of IDS, Ms. Lonise Carey was on hand to accept the award and was honored to have the company’s hard work recognized in this fashion: “This World Travel Award serves as global recognition for our entire team of planners, event designers, transportation logistics staff and everyone who contributes to our ability to successfully stage world class conferences and events for the thousands of guests who visit our shores. Our weddings have been featured in international magazines over the years, but the full scope of our work embodies conference planning, product launches, corporate incentive travel programs, and cultural events. As a wholly owned Bahamian destination management and special events company, it is an incredible feeling to be acknowledged as the best DMC in our country.”

IDS won the award in the category of destination management, beating out competition from five other companies.
