Nassau, The Bahamas - Chapter of the Caribbean Institute of Certified Management Consultants (CICMC BAHAMAS) recently held two, two-day technical skill-building workshops for local professionals in the private and government sectors. The workshops, presented by Dr. Vasantha Chase, PMP, CMC and President of the Caribbean Insti-tute of Certified Management Consultants, focused on writing accurate Terms of Reference (TORs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and developing winning responses to those docu-ments.

Attendees agreed that the workshops were of a high quality, challenging, extremely informative, and timely.

According to Donald Demeritte, President of CICMC Bahamas, the objective of the workshops was not only to ensure that Bahamian officials and professionals are better equipped to write and respond to proposals but also to level the local playing field.

“We have unlimited access to Regional experts with substantial international experience such as Dr. Chase. Support from our Regional colleagues helps us to increase the capacity of consul-tants in The Bahamas,” said Demeritte. “Eventually, we can decrease the reliance on foreign consultants when competent local resources are available. We have the talent and a vibrant network. It’s now about maximizing our opportunities to demonstrate it.”
