NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS (July 27, 2014) -- A vehicle accident on Prince Charles Drive, eastern New Providence, has caused a widespread outage of all cable services for subscribers in that area.

The accident, which occurred Sunday morning, July 27, knocked down a utility pole in the vicinity of Marco's Pizza on Prince Charles Drive. A total of 27 neighbourhoods and just over 3,900 subscribers were impacted by the outage.

BEC is currently replacing the damaged pole, and Cable Bahamas Ltd crews are on-site to commence repairs and restoration of services as quickly as possible. An exact restoration time has not yet been determined.

Cable Bahamas apologises for the inconvenience caused to its subscribers by this incident, which is, unfortunately, beyond the control of the company.

Updates will be provided throughout the restoration period via social media and media updates.
