NASSAU, Bahamas — China Harbour Engineering Company, the contractor for the North Abaco Port Project, has announced a change in its executive management, set to continue strengthening good business ties in The Bahamas.

Mr. Jeff Wang, who previously served as manager for CHEC’s Grenada operations, will replace Mr. Felix Chang as Principal of CHEC Bahamas. In this new role, Wang will manage business operations for the construction of the North Abaco Port as well as expand CHEC’s brand recognition globally as one of the world’s leading port developers.

“I am confident that this project in The Bahamas will be a success,” said Wang. “We have a good foundation here already in the community, we have all the right tools in place and I am looking forward to executing our plans and delivering long-term value to the community.”

Wang steps into the position as Chang, who served as Country Manager for the company from 2013 – 2015, moves on to pursue other opportunities in his field of expertise. Chang was instrumental in mobilizing works in Coopers Town, Abaco and is credited for his efforts in the community.

“Our company has benefitted from Chang’s expertise and insights over the past several,” said Wang. “We wish him the best.”

Wang has more than a decade of experience working in the industry and comes to The Bahamas after working for CHEC in Grenada, Jamaica, Panama and Argentina, among other countries.
