Nassau, Bahamas  – Doctors Hospital celebrated the promise of a new  year by proudly welcoming two precious new lives into the world. Through its  partnership with Lowe’s Wholesale Drug Agencies, Ltd., Doctors Hospital  presented the first baby girl and baby boy of 2019 with special gift baskets  overflowing with baby products from Johnson’s and Lullaby brands.

On January 2nd, Miranda and Damaine Pratt of Abaco were thrilled to  welcome their daughter, Ariya Monae Pratt, into the world. The couple eagerly  shared their experience at Doctors Hospital. Mrs. Pratt noted, “It was truly a  stress-free stay. The nurses were great and everything was on time.”

Just eight hours later, Natasha Adderley and Donald Adderley, Sr. of New  Providence welcomed their son, Donald Adderley Jr. Mrs. Adderley was also  pleased with the care she received. She commented, “The nurses were  extremely helpful and I had an awesome experience.”

Doctors Hospital strives to make sure that each maternity patient has that  same quality experience and ensure that patients are given the best care.

“Each mother-to-be is assigned a dedicated nurse who is a trained,  experienced midwife,” explained Ms. Patricia Brown, the Maternity Room  Coordinator for the hospital. “Throughout their stay, the nurses take time with the  parents to teach topics related to caring for their infants. Our nurses cover  everything from bathing the baby and changing diapers to bottle and breast  feeding. We make sure that new parents know the basics before they leave the  hospital.”

Lowes Wholesale is also committed to making sure parents have the  basics covered. Each family received gift baskets that included diapers, wipes,  shampoo, baby medications, lotions, first-time baby accessories and other  essentials.

“At both Lowe’s Wholesale Drug Agencies Limited and Lowe’s Pharmacy Ltd, we are committed to fostering relationships with our primary consumers--the Bahamian Family,” said Mrs. Krista Nairn, Marketing Manager for Lowe’s Wholesale. “We celebrate many milestones and achievements of the Bahamian experience, but one of our favorites is the welcoming of newborns! Sharing in this occasion along with Doctors Hospital, doing our part to make it a memorable one and an easy transition is an effort we hold in high esteem.”
