Bahamas: Pilot makes emergency landing after takeoff from Lynden Pindling Intl. Airport

Nassau, New Providence --  On Sunday 2nd March 2014, at 5:10pm / 2210UTC, a Navajo, PIPER, PA-31-325, N327RM; S/N 31-7912019 was involved in an occurrence. The aircraft listed owners are: 
AVTRAN LLC, 230 S Bemiston Ave STE Clayton, Missouri 63105 -1907.

The pilot reported that unsafe gear light illuminated after takeoff. He returned and upon landing the nose gear “keeled back” and collapsed. The pilot was the only person on board and was uninjured. There were no dangerous goods on the aircraft and the Civil Aviation Department, Flight Standards Division is investigating. As more information is received a preliminary report will be prepared.

The attached official Air Incident / Accident Report states, "Be advised that the aircraft listed below has been involved in an occurrence. Information at this time is sketchy as all attempts to contact the pilot have proved fruitless. As more information is received a preliminary report will be prepared."
