Nassau, Bahamas - The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation, a fully registered non-profit educational entity dedicated exclusively to public, charitable, and educational purposes of the annual Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards Program, recently met in its Annual General Meeting. The Board of Directors appointed a new Co-Patron, a new Director and elected the Executive Team for a two year (2014/2016) term.
Mrs. Jacqueline Bethel, who previously served as Chairperson of the Distinguished Panel of Judges, was appointed as Co-Patron of The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards Program. She will serve along with Co-Patron Dr. Davidson Hepburn.
Mr. Cyril “Cy” Hanna, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., was appointed to a two year term as a Director. A new executive team was also elected: Chairman – Vandyke Pratt; President & CEO – Dr. Ricardo P. Deveaux; Vice-President of Operations – Dr. Cindy Dorsett; Vice-President of Finance – Geovanie Rodgers; Vice-President of Development – Vaughn Culmer; Assistant Vice-President of Programs – Valarie Dean and Corporate Secretary – Nickara Pratt.
In addition, Assistant Vice-President of Programs – CC LaFleur and Director Errol Bodie retired from the Board of Directors. The Board conferred upon the two of them, Emeritus status in recognition of their contribution to the Board of Directors.
