Nassau, Bahamas – Bahamas Provincial Leader Bishop Godfrey R. Williams has relinquished his office. Appointed in 2013, Bishop Williams has stepped down to devote his full attention to his wife, Iris, who was hospitalized last December battling a heart condition. She is currently recuperating.

According to Global United Fellowship's Presiding Bishop, His Grace Bishop Neil C. Ellis, "Bishop Williams has distinguished himself as a Lover of God and his Family over the years. His work as an Ambassador of God and Good has earned him the respect of The Grand Bahama and the wider Christian Community; inclusive of the GUF Family which now spans 12 countries representing over 600 churches. We fully support his decision to remove himself from the forefront, and will continue to stand along-side him and his family".

With the vacancy that his departure created, The Presiding Bishop is pleased to announce the following new appointments as part of the restructuring process: - Dr. Deanza Cunningham, formally the leader for The Central Bahamas Parish, will now assume the office of The Provincial Leader. Pastor Arlington Rahming will now serve as his Personal assistant. Apostle Raymond Wells replaces Dr. Cunningham as leader of The Central Bahamas Parish and Pastor Rickeno Moncur will serve his the executive assistant. Elder Vernita Josey will serve as the Director for The Council for Pastors' Wives, Pastor Jacqueline Gibson has been appointed as The Director of Women, Minister Darren Nixon will serve as The Director of Men and Minister Felicia Archer has been appointed as The Director of Youth.

An installation service for the new officers will be held on Thursday April 23, 2014, at Mount Tabor Church in Nassau. Bishop Ellis will deliver the highly anticipated charge to The Bahamas Province during the special service at 7:00 p.m. A major Service of Celebration will be held on Friday, April 24 at Christ Community Church, where the Provincial Leader, Dr. Cunningham pastors. The Bahamas Province, consists of some 51 churches throughout the country.
