IPSI Deputy Chairman at Major Washington Forum -- Brian Quinn, Deputy Chairman of Nassau-based IP Solutions International (IPSI), left, is pictured with Jaquelynn Ruff, Vice President, International Public Policy, Verizon and Richard Feasey, Director Public Policy, Vodafone Group at a forum in Washington, DC at Verizon headquarters last week. Quinn was one 60 invited participants that included the leaders in high speed delivery of telecommunications and entertainment.

Washington, DC - Deputy Chairman of the new local triple-play broadband company IP Solutions International (IPSI), Brian Quinn, returned today from a by-invitation-only meeting of 60 senior executives of the world’s top telecommunications and broadcasting companies, saying the forum re-affirmed IPSI’s positioning and products.

“It was not only an honour to be among the invited leaders in the industry, but it was also interesting because meeting with executives from companies like Vodafone and Verizon re-affirmed that IPSI is moving in precisely the right direction, positioning our products and offerings for where a very vibrant and dynamic market is headed,” said Quinn, who previously headed up what became Reuters TV News before joining the Nassau-based company IPSI chaired by former Governor-General Orville Turnquest.

IPSI plans to launch The Bahamas’ first triple-play telecom-entertainment offering with video on demand, telephone service and high speed internet in a single-price package next year. It has already cleared the first regulatory hurdles becoming the first provider to be licensed by URCA, the regulatory body, to provide triple-play service for The Bahamas. The closed session for execs at the DC Verizon headquarters was held under the auspices of the International Institute of Communications. Its aim was to examine major shifts in mobile telephones, high speed broadband and TV usage in business and the home.
