Nassau, Bahamas – The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) advises customers and the residents of northern, central, southern and eastern NP that we experienced a major power failure at our Blue Hills Water Pumping Station around 1:00PM today.

The failure involves both our normal power supply from the Bahamas Electricity Corporation (BEC) and our standby generator power supply.

WSC teams along with a BEC team and our standby generator subcontractor were promptly mobilized and power was restored a little before 4:00 PM today. Our teams are presently re-pressurizing our transmission and distribution systems and normal water supply should be fully restored to all customers by early this evening.

WSC apologizes for the inconvenience caused, and express our appreciation and thanks for your patience.
