Nassau, Bahamas - In late November NB12 ran
a news report about two missing elderly men with Alzheimer's Disease.
Over a month later, the search efforts have intensified with most recent
reported sighting on this past
Friday
in the Miller's Heights subdivision off Carmichael Road. Family
and friends of Gladstone Rolle and Anthony Bastian were joined by
concerned citizens that are a part of the group Rise Bahamas. On
November 28th, they joined the social media push through publishing the
excerpt of the NB12 news report through Facebook. Over 4,000 Bahamians
watched the video online.
Rise
Bahamas founder Terneille Burrows said: "We are still hopeful and
encouraged by the reported sightings of both gentlemen, and will
continue to assist the families as best we can in search efforts. Many
of the people we visited door-to-door in the Miller's Heights area
on Sunday were aware of the missing men, and promised to be on high alert."
82 year old Gladstone Rolle was reportedly last seen off Carmichael Road wearing a dark blue top on Friday, December 19th.
77 year old Anthony Bastian was reportedly last seen off West Bay St wearing shorts and slippers.
The
public is advised to drop the men to the nearest police station, or
call 919 and wait with them for the police to arrive, if you come into
contact with them.
