SkyBahamas passengers got quite a fright today when a plane engine failed in air over the Berry Islands on an 11am flight on February 2nd from Nassau to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.
Photographer Tim Aylen of Bahamas Visual Services captured this photo video in flight before the captain, Wesley Sturrup turned back and safely landed the aircraft a short time later at Lynden Pindling Airport in Nassau. During the flight back to Nassau, passengers held hands and prayed.

On the ground, two passengers were taken away by ambulance, possibly suffering from high blood pressure or shock.
Relieved to be on solid ground before taking another flight to Freeport, Aylen wrote on his Facebook page, "You can be my pilot any time! What a great landing on one engine."
