Embassy Nassau’s Consular Section encourages nonimmigrant visa applicants to apply now for summer travel. The Consular Section faces reduced capacity for processing all visa types in August and September. Wait times are likely to dramatically increase during those months– so now is the time to come in for your visa to shop, take a cruise, visit family, or study in the United States.

The nonrefundable cost of a visa application has not changed. Most types of visas, including those for tourism and study require a $160 application fee. To make an appointment for a visa, please visit https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ en-bs/niv or call 1-800-883-7421, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

When coming to the embassy for your visa appointment please note that for security reasons, many items are prohibited including electronic items such as cell phones and tablets. More information can be found at the following link: http://nassau.usembassy.gov/ restrictedarticles.html.

Please note that most approved visas are ready for pick-up at the DHL office in Freeport or Nassau five business days after the interview. Please plan your travel accordingly.
