U.S. Embassy (Bahamas) to host International Breakdance Troupe ILL-ABILITIES

Nassau, Bahamas - The internationally renowned motivational breakdance group ILL-ABILITIES will make their first visit to The Bahamas from March 17-22, 2014. During the visit, the group will participate in a series of youth engagements throughout New Providence. ILL-ABILITIES comprises five dynamic young men, with varying backgrounds, nationalities and disabilities who have come together to demonstrate the message “No Limits, No Excuses.” These young men through motivational words of encouragement and dance inspire young people around the world to strive to achieve their goals and realize their full potential.
 
On Monday, March 17, ILL-ABILITIES will be the featured act at a performance titled, “Testing Your Limits, Beyond the Box” at Bahamas Harvest Church on Prince Charles Drive beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Other guest performers will include Junior Achievement Company RETRO, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Youth Development through the Arts program, and Beyond Measure ensemble. U.S. and Bahamian government officials are expected to attend.

On Wednesday, March 19, ILL-ABILITIES will perform in Pompey Square, downtown, Bay Street from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. More than 200 students from local primary schools including St. Thomas Moore, Albury Sayle, Centreville Primary, Temple Christian and Woodcock Primary will be in attendance.
