Nassau, The Bahamas - The Bahamas Telecommunications Company Limited (BTC) is officially announcing the introduction of the upgraded “My BTC” mobile app. The new mobile app is now available for download in the IOS App Store and the Google Play store.

“My BTC” provides real time access to landline and mobile accounts. Customers are now empowered to track their real-time mobile voice, data and SMS usage. “My BTC” also enables you to check your prepaid balances, top-up and add combo plans, transfer credit to prepaid accounts and pay bills online.

CEO, Garfield Sinclair calls this upgraded app a notable advancement, and another Blue Letter day in the history of BTC. “We are focused more than ever before on exceeding our customers’ expectations. This sleek new upgraded mobile app offers a brand new digital experience, with an added level of convenience for all of our residential and small business customers, allowing you to manage all of your accounts, on your terms.  We have completely upgraded the previous app, and customers can now enjoy real time tracking of their accounts, among a number of new enhanced features,” Sinclair said.

Through its location feature, “My BTC” also intuitively directs you to the nearest BTC location. Also through an advanced campaign manager, the mobile app is able to deliver customized offers for customers.

“Currently, more than 50% of the calls into our contact center are from customers asking to check their bills and make payments. This new app automatically replaces the need for our customers to have to call us, with 24/7 access to the mobile app.”

Signing up for the app is simple, and customers only need their mobile phone number, which is verified through an automatic SMS response. To link fixed line accounts, customers will need to have their account number. BTC introduced the first iteration of the “My BTC” mobile app in 2013.
