Bahamas Press Club mourns slain journalists

Thursday 28th June 2018 was a sad day in Annapolis, Maryland when an armed man entered the newsroom of the Capital Gazette and executed five people.

June 28 was a sad day for journalists and people working in newsrooms all over the world, who now feel unsafe because individuals may harbor grudges for what is written and said about them in news stories.

The Bahamas Press Club 2014 joins the families, colleagues, and friends of those five innocent people who were slaughtered where they worked.

Journalists are supposed to cover and produce the news. They are not supposed to be the news.
